Spinnerbaits - Why Use Red Hooks

Red hooks are great in clear water. They are also good when using baits in 1-5 feet of water. Anything below that the colors “begin” to all mesh into black and white and it doesn’t matter anyway.

The red color in the hook is just one more option the bait has to appeal to the bass's senses.  Why not use a color that simulates blood, especially in clear water.
