How To Catch Lunker BASS!

- SLOW IT DOWN - The number one tip I can tell you on how to catch LUNKER BASS is to "Slow Down" your presentation.  Remember, bass are an ambush predator and generally going to be hiding behind structure awaiting prey and positioning themselves so they have to move the least amount of distance and expend the least amount of energy to get a meal.  This applies even more so to larger female bass.

- JD's Top 5 Lunker Bass Baits
1) Jig & Pig
2) Top Water Plug or Frog
3) Buzz Bait Dressed with Trailer
4) Texas Rigged 4-6 Inch Worm
5) 4 Inch Tube or Creature Bait

- SPRING TIME - This is when you have the best chance of getting a monster bass.  The big females are going to be the first to move into the shallow back bays during spawn.  At this time they are loaded with eggs and have full bellies. Please practice catch & release at this time!

- Travel South - If you want to have a better chance of catching a Lunker Bass, you'll need to travel to the southern states like Florida, Texas, California.  Sure there are big fish in northern lakes, but just not as many as there are in southern lakes.
