FEATURED TIPS & TACTICS
Pre
Spawn (Largemouth)
- Look for bass in transition waters about 10 to 15 feet
deep moving off points and channels toward shallow bays.
Pay close attention to structure in these prime areas.
- Look for that late afternoon bite on sunny days.
Why? This is when all the water, aquatic vegetation
and foods have warmed and are most active.
- As bass move shallow and get ready to spawn, they tend
to move toward any available cover. Look for docks, timber
and new weed growth.
- Remember - still water warms more
quickly than flowing creeks. So look for bass in backwater
coves and sloughs that get a lot of sun.
